PRECISION BARREL WORK

Of all the components that make up a rifle, the barrel has the most significant influence on its accuracy.

Precision barrel fitting is our specialty.

All threads are single point machined to measured fit class tolerances and recorded.

 All muzzle work (crowns and brake threads) are set up using the dual indicator range rod method to ensure parallelism and concentricity measured to four decimal places (imperial).

Rifle bore alignment error (present to some degree in all barrels during manufacture) is verified, measured and timed to the receiver.

 All chamber, neck and throat work is done using live piloted reamers to ensure zero run-out, concentricity and surface finish.

All reamers are mounted in floating tool holders to ensure perfect alignment with the bore.
